Whiskey is a mature dog now--good grief, the time flown by! He has learned from us, from the other dogs, and by figuring some things out for himself.
He's a very bold, energetic, happy dog. He's a good teacher and disciplinarian, and takes his duties as Second-in-Command very seriously.

It's a training atmosphere around here, and he's always surprising me with the ease that he picks up something new. At this point it's more a matter of communicating what I'd like, and he figures the rest out. It took him just minutes to learn to heel to my new golf car. When he's not heeling, it took him no time at all to understand I would like him to automatically return to the golf car whenever it stops.

Training doesn't have to be a formal thing, in fact it's easier and more fun for everyone if it isn't. I like lessons to be useful in day-to-day life, and the dogs to understand this is how we live and breathe, they are not learning "tricks"!

Whiskey has been taught by our older dogs, and now it's his turn to be the teacher!
